A Look At The Predators Action Figures 2010 Series

I've always liked the Predator characters and the recent wave of action figures based on the 2010 Predators movie look really cool. I was 15 years old when the original Predator was released and have fond memories of all the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies of the '80s.  Now that I'm seriously collecting toys again I definitely wanted some Predator action figures.  So I went down to the closest Toys 'R Us last night and bought the only one they had in stock, the Tracker Predator.  So I've done a bit of research since then and it turns out that in the Predators action figures 2010 line, this is part of the second wave of figures.

The first wave had a Classic Predator, Falconer Predator and Berzerker Predator.  The second wave consists of Tracker Predator, Cracked Mask Battle Damaged Classic Predator and an Unmasked Berserker Predator.  The third wave is due out in the Spring of 2011 and from what I can tell will have a masked Classic Predator (as seen in the original 1987 movie), the Elder Predator (as seen at the end of Predator 2) and a Predator Hound from 2010's Predators film.

These 7 inch figures don't come with a lot of accessories, but each one has at least one item.  For example, the Tracker Predator comes with a removable wrist blade and nothing else. The real selling point with these figures is that they look great and have very detailed sculpts and paint. And let's face it, nothing else looks like a Predator so they are a pretty unique looking action figure.

Here's a look at all of the figures that have come out so far (all images link to an Amazon product page and I do earn a commission if you purchase through this link):
