SPIDER-MAN Single String Shooter

One of the classic super hero toys has always been SPIDER-MAN web shooters. When I was a young kid in the late 70s I had a set of web shooters that shot a dart. The dart had a suction cup on the end of it and the spring loaded shooter had quite a bit of power. It was a lot of fun!

Toy web shooters have evolved over the years, replacing the dart with silly string and even one that shoots water. Now there is another new model which shoots a short piece of string. It may sound like a silly concept, but it really does look like you're shooting off a web just like SPIDER-MAN!

Details

  • kids will enjoy a SPIDER-MAN web shooter that offers a motorized string reload function for hours of play
  • Kids can pretend they are Spiderman
  • Create scenes from your favorite Spiderman episode or create their own
  • Capture your enemy by covering them in your web
  • Lots of imaginative play

There are two strings included and they measure approximately 2 1/2 feet long. They are easy to reload - you just place the end of the string into the hole in the shooter, press a lever and the string gets sucked back into the shooter. It's actually pretty cool just to see that happen (check out the video below).

A couple of reviewers have said that the body of the web shooter is a bit big and didn't fit on their kids' wrist very well, but that didn't stop the kids from having fun with it. And of course, some parents have complained that there are only two strings and they have to constantly help their kids find them after they are lost.

These are minor complaints in my mind. I know if I was a kid I would be all over this toy! It would be great if the web shooter held multiple pieces of string and you could shoot them one after the other, but maybe version 2 will be like that. All in all, I think this is a cool toy and most kids will have a lot of fun pretending to be SPIDER-MAN!
